Castoffz Product Examples

Here is a view of  five  CAST-OFFZ  to share, up close and personal, some of the artful recycling which is possible for your cast(s). Click on each photo to see larger images.

IMG_8301-764x1024photo-6websizeThe cast to the left is an 8 year old child’s full leg cast transformed into “Pinocchio the Sea Serpent”.  The 8 year old boy, to your right, had a transformative, affective experience from wearing a cast to fix his broken leg to cherishing his cast made possible by this art experience.

375_500_csupload_27406300The second cast (Titania) was originally black fiberglass adult arm cast and highlights the inclusion of titanium screws, titanium plate and titanium radial head contained in a handmade seaweed basket. Multi-media embellishments add excitement to the design.

0_0_0_0_250_188_csupload_29605410_largeThe fourth mask, also a wrist cast, was burgundy fiberglass, now recycled and adorned with cowrie shells, beads and painted in my mask- Muerto whimsical style.

The fifth piece below is a combination of gourds and arm casts to create a whimsical puppet mobile of a skeleton for Dia De Los Muertos and is entitled “My Mama The Queen”!
